That's what I assumed too which is part of the reason I didn't bid it. If you were a CEO and I had 100 people interviewing for 30 positions without caring about what the pay or benefits were, why would you pay them more money?

Unfortunately no matter what the pay scale ends up being you'll have FOs bidding captain upgrades. Even on brasilia captain pay any FO awarded the upgrade is going to get a raise. I'm not sure why any captain or FO would be bidding just a transition to it right now though.
