Spirit leads the industry in customer complaints. Those complaints no doubt get directed to the gate agents and flight attendants constantly. Which, you would figure, leads to gate agents and flight attendants having poor attitudes (who wouldn't be that way if you're constantly getting yelled at all the time?). And then these poor attitudes (while not being directed toward the pilots) become part of the everyday work environment.
Does anyone have concerns about that? Or am I just being overly negative?
I worked in the CAL system for almost 7 years. Generally speaking the gate agents and FAs here at Spirit are 10x more pleasant to both crew members and passengers. It is an absolute pleasure coming to work and dealing with people like this, unlike the Continental/United word where they treat everyone (both employees and passengers) like the absolute scum of the earth. Also, the complaints are from people who don't understand the pricing. People are very thankful and usually smiling as they get off the airplane.
Worried about F9 becoming like Spirit?, more like Hopeful.
