Military guys may handle IROPS and one offs easier due to the non regular type of flying they did. Put them together and you get the type of pilot Delta wants. Over time, each pilot ends up a conglomeration of both.
That might be a tough one. Seeing as how it's not uncommon for the ENTIRE country to be under severe clear conditions, and the regionals are underSWAP/IROP conditions due to their administrative inefficiencies.
Haven't even finished day 1 and the pattern/trip/pattern/ID/rotation/sequence is on it's 10-11-12th revision already. Seated in the plane, ready to go, only to be cancelled and told to head to another gate to do a completely different flight/overnight, etc.
Annnnnnywaaaaaaaaaays, back to hiring. It's like a date at an interview. Be on time, smile a lot, be upbeat/happy. Shine your shoes, brush/floss your teeth, make sure you don't smell, know when to talk and when to listen. When talking about about yourself be confident but not conceited or bragging, dont be negative/condescendig about anything or anybody, always speak positively about the past, end everyting with a positive outcome, make eye contact, sit up straight, be nice to everybody.
