I have seen some of the top 200 guys here, what a bunch of sleazeballs. I have flown with many captains who will retire without breaking 500-800 on the list, and although I will break 200, it will not be till the final few years of my career. Many/ most of us will not be "senior" for long, if EVER.
But frankly, that doesn't matter and is not my point. Looking across the industry and looking at all mainline fleet types, it is simply NOT standard to pay more for a stretched identical type. Even if it was, it is WAY down on the list of things we need to fix. Things that we ALL need to benefit from.
It is simply WRONG and entirely transparent why you prioritize a 321 payrate above so much else....
If the company did buy 319s years ago, you would have DEMANDED that you have single pay rate. Hypocrit.
Sorry that breaking 200 isnt senior enough for you. By your logic lets pay the 190 and 321 the same then.
There isnt a single contractual benefit that we have that is industry standard but you think the 321 should pay the same as the 320 because management told you so. Ok, sorry I don't agree.
The aircraft will have 40 more seats similar to the 190 having 50 less seats. Should we buy 319's then their seating capacity should reflect the pay. That's not hypocritical, thats economics.
The trips I bid will not include the 321. I could care less if I ever fly it. The 330 Dave keeps telling you are in the works won't affect me either as I'll never bid the aircraft but none of that matters because I'll still fight for a larger aircraft paying more money. Again, economics.
Your suggestion that we should use that money to fix other issues is, well, naive. Until the blue juicers, like that idiot southerner, vote in a union none of this matters. We'll continue down this path of you and others repeating managements rhetoric as gospel.
