I flew with an LCA type about a year ago who's main job was project manager for the flat panel upgrades for the 88/90 and the 75/76. He was sure the 88/90 upgrade would happen, but only about 50/50 on the 75/76. He was also very confident that the 75's would retire at a much lower rate than DAL management was stating at the time.
The more and more I fly with LCA types, the more I wonder if they are doing it to help the group, or to massage their egos? I flew with one that kept on telling everybody he was an LCA. He even had the audacity to tell me he is one of the best pilot's Delta has
