From the Sept. Crew Resources Newsletter:
THE JULY AE
The July AE award was posted on July 30. There were 51 AEs, 0 MDs, 0 VDs and 7 reinstatements. Twenty-eight of the 65 DTW-717-B posted positions were filled. The purpose of the July AE was to continue the flow of pilots through 717 training. With the exception of DC9 pilots, many of whom will remain on the DC9 though January 2014, we will have exhausted our current supply of 717 trainees by November. Unfilled positions from the July AE will be filled by furlough bypass and new hire pilots.
We plan to post the next AE in late August or early September with Captain and First Officer vacancies on the ATL and DTW 717, in addition to 73N positions, as we prepare for the 737-900 deliveries. At this time, we have not determined which 73N categories will see vacancies. We will work with Network Planning over the next few months as they develop a more detailed 2014 schedule.
The summer of 2014 will see 10 less 757 aircraft in service compared to summer 2013. As a result, we may surplus 7ER pilots on the next bid, particularly on the First Officer side. However, we expect the surpluses, if needed, to be more than offset by 717 and 73N Captain vacancies.
At this time, we have not determined which categories may see displacements.
Italics added by me- in other words maybe/mabye not,
Underline - still could see vacancies awarded
