Basically, aside from the pension at UPS...it looks like I'll be back at my present CAP pay in year 4 as an FO at UPS...

One last issue....aside from the 2-300 pilot hires this year...what's the next few years look like...and do you know the number of age 60 retirements coming up?
thx again,

It doesnt look like there will be any age 60 retirements coming up.

But last time I looked at it, it seemed that there was a big group of folks hitting age 60 at around 2010 or so, so just push that back to 2015. As far as expansion, UPS is very conservative compared to FDX. We generally get a few airplanes, most being replacements for the old worn out iron. I dont think one will ever see a huge expansion at UPS, it just seems slow and steady, UPS had just over 2000 pilots in 1996, and 11 years later we have 3000. Its expansion and thats good, but not what I would call explosive. I would anticipate the upgrade to captain (other than ANC) to take around 10 to 12 years average.
