Hmm - I think that DPA hadn't gotten much wind in their sails by mid of 2012, when the TA came out and the voting was taking place. So I don't think it weakened C2012. I think now a lot more people know about DPA. Also, in 2012 DPA was running a mostly gentlemanly campaign to change the bargaining agent. I think that now that DPA has run off the rails and is just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. The turning point for me personally was TC's comparison of Chinese forced abortions to ALPA. Do we really want people who think that's an appropriate way to discuss matters among professional pilots, Wall Street, on Capitol Hill and the company?
ALPA may be slow to change, but I'm not worried about what they are going to decision makers that affect our careers.

I just think that DPA will divert some attention from the real issue come 2015 - namely a better contract. If ALPA and DPA are continuing to argue about representation, people might just tune out and not pay attention to any of C2015 - just when we need the most participation and unity.
