You keep speaking/writing but nothing really comes out.

"Wow....you are amazing...UCH can't park those planes fast enough and yet you say that they are perfectly good airframes....."

They are perfectly good airframes with many hours left in them, but that is not why MGMT is parking them.

Let me put it in a nutshell for you. The FAA has mandated technological changes for all airplanes operating in class A, B and C airspace by the year 2020. Since many of the 757s UAL owns do not currently meet up to those specs and MGMT has determined the cost and normal life span of the airframes makes it cost prohibitive to do so, they have decided to phase them out.

You might also notice CAL's old (and they were old) airplanes were already in the process of being replaced (even without financing in place) by airframes already equipped with the FAA mandated technology.

Get over it.
