That's because at the time the bid closed only one domicile had been announced and no pay scale had been announced. Also people don't know what kind of trips there will be or whether they will be able to keep their Delta benefits or not.
The plane will go junior for a little while, but once there's a pay scale, more domiciles and people have more information it will probably go senior. I'm sure the brasilia pilots said the same thing when the CRJ first came around and now even the most junior CRJ bases are senior to the most senior brasilia ones.
If we're really replacing the whole fleet with 175s in the next 15 years then it's only a matter of time before west coast bases and Delta flying are announced.
