They have little to lose if passed. Their pay will be frozen at whatever year they are at. Most likely 18. If pay freezes at year 12 then they will be grandfathered into and lose nothing.
Those with 10-14 years at PSA have a lot to lose if pay gets frozen. Also hear that f/o's may have pay frozen at year 4. To me regional f/o's are totally underpaid and to cap them off at year 4 is horrible. But they may vote yes for this because of a quick upgrade.
Kind of short sighted because once the growth stops, or we lose the 200's then we will be back in the same position we are in today. I would hate to be a 8 year f/o on 4th year pay flying for reduced 900 rates.
Also a preferential interview is next to useless. This isn't a carrot, it's worthless.
We also hear that we are going to get 30-40 airplanes. Well 40 airplanes is 320 pilots to hire. And we will have 5 a month go to airways. Our CP say he wants to hire 25/month. Just not sure where they are going to come from. Expecially if the f/o pay caps out at year 4.
Of course the Union has not released details of this TA. We can only guess what is in the deal.
You sir are well informed, and sound very rational. That's refreshing to see. Do your part to educate others out on the line as many of us are trying to do. Most importantly, VOTE NO!
