To start over at the bottom of a list on first year pay may not be doable for many.
For myself, there is no way that I wouldn't go into serious debt on first year pay. Also I would more than likely have little to no control over my schedule for 4-7 years. This is a key time in my kids' lives and I need to be home as much as possible.
Does it suck not having union representation and a CBA? Definitely.
I've voted ALPA twice and am looking forward to doing it again....soon.

Even if you vote ALPA it will be years before its effective there, but the merger protections will be there.. and you need that.... and a uniform committee.
