I agreed with you in your original post but you are setting yourself up to fail. You dont remember, but in the early 90s there were a few too many COCKY pilots. Today their airline is either BUST or they are 2000 pilots behind a way too cocky 35 year old pilot. You didnt get hired at CAL because you are skilled, you were LUCKY. Plain and simple.
Your career is just beginning. Im willing to bet there will be many road bumps ahead. Be humble.

I know, I just like to get the peeps rolling.... There is some truth in this though, I did work hard and did sacrifice while some of my peers did not.
It is like my nephew, has a kid in high school, barely graduates. Now 3 years later he wonders why he has no money and is working for $10 an hour. I told him, what did you expect when you have a kid early and minimal education.
People expect so much but get disappointed by reality. In both of these cases, too bad, I did prepare.
