They work at the Flight Academy in numerous positions. From scheduling at Eagle to Tech Pubs office at mainline AA.

They work for a semester and receive college credit. They are also allowed to sit on the umpseat of AA aircraft and see the opreation.

I had one try to bump me off the jumpseat a year ago to FLL from DFW.

I was told the jumpseat was taken, I checked the non-rev list and saw the jumpseat with a wierd code by his name. I asked the agent to call him and see who was more senior.

He approached me, and I said hello my name is_____, based _____, and my sen is_______. He reponded with I am an intern. I requested the jumpseat yesterday...Sorry to bump you off. I thought he was kidding.

He wasn't. Anyway after an introduction to the word of jumpseating and the pecking order all was "good in the world" again.

Mine was with Trans World Express. On a ferry flight to JFK I got a little stick time on the Dash-7.....Sweet!!
