I should have had 600 guys below me. That coupled with the continued pilot demand and hiring at United comes from the Continental pilot group not United. I've been set back 5 years easy with the way they integrated the furlough list and despite having been recalled for 2.5 years I will likely get furloughed soon after being pushed to the bottom. I can't wait to see the justification for how they integrated the furloughed guys. Not sure I can ever respect the UAL group at this point...we did the "right thing" and got United guys a pay check and it turned out to screw us.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

Continetal asked United guys to go to work???????!!!!!!!!!! Growth/Demand?????? We were ONE company!!!!! Growth was OURS not YOURS!!!!!!

Dude, this sense of entitlement makes me flippin' bonkers!!!!!!! We were one company - UNITED AIRLINES - we may not have had an SLI yet but it was ONE COMPANY. The corporation HAD to offer the jobs to UNITED furloughed pilots!!!!!!!! To do otherwise would have been idiotic. What part of a MERGER do you not get???????? 3 independent men heard all the arguments and agreed NEITHER company was gonna do great alone. The merger was the best deal for everyone. Continental did not do the "RIGHT THING"; they did the ONLY thing. They merged.

Aviation is a competitive industry. United furloughed pilots got furloughed. You lost a couple of months seniority. GET OVER IT!
