My humble opinion: we are probably overmanned for the next couple of years. If the company succeeds in getting PBS we will be even more overmanned. We may defeat it by a costly labor action.

The bottom line - now's a good time to trim your sails. Pay your debt down, keep driving that old car. Start living on a 55-60 hour BLG and saving the rest. Work on other sources of income. If you're way junior I'd be taking this really seriously.....

+1! Also, I predict we will have PBS on property with our newly amended contract, requiring even fewer pilots.

Fedex pilots are foolish if they continue to think that management will operate the same way in the future as they have in the past. The pressure they are under to increase margins is intense and something not to be underestimated.
