All the interns at AA are required to have a commerical license. Therefore, they believe that having interns jumpseat is an increase in safety. Flight attendents don't have flight training but interns do so why not let them go up front? Spotting traffic, listen over the radio, and experiencing what a 121 flight is like is extremely benefical to the intern. I guess I was in the last AA group of interns that had the privileges and it's sad that they won't get this benefit anymore. Does anyone know if the other majors also lost this for their interns?
