A lot of companies out there are preying on the ignorance of many pilots, trying to get them to spend thousands on a type rating they don't even need. As all of us can see, most pilots here didn't spend a hair on their rear-end to get a type rating. Let the company pay for it! Why pay for something your going to get on the companys' dime anyway? If you want an advantage, just purchase the A320 ops manual and save yourself the thousands on the type rating.
