I also know of at least 3 poolies from my interview date in April; my estimate was about a dozen swimmers total (completely unscientific SWAG).
If there's a class of 10 starting 7 October as rumored here, then that's why they had interviews in September -- a dozen in the pool may not be enough to fill the class of 10.
