That your hard work for those 16 years, sweating it out in a Metroliner, a Fokker, Dash 8, SAAB 340, a CRJ200/900. Helping to maintain a safety record unattained by any other regional. That your hard work that went directly to that mainline carrier's benefit, is now being rewarded. Rewarded by doing the same job with better logistical, financial support, and moral support at the mainline carrier. The guys flowing have right to feel pride for the last 16+ years that they have worked under the NWA/DAL umbrella.
Meh, airlines hire pilots who really want to work for them. You can show past history by previous applications online to the airline of choice. While you have a point about that 15 year guy above, how would you handle the question of "Do you really want to work for Delta? How come you didn't apply here in the 2010 hiring cycle? 2007 cycle? late 90s cycle?"
