Don't you think HR would rather hire pilots who have had a track history of applying to Delta and actually want to work their as their goal?
Except no one passed on a job to Delta, they passed on a job to NWA. Probably not many people who passed on the flow are going to take the SSP but I think that is more than a valid reason.
