I'm not trying to rain on your parade here, but I'm going to drop a dose of reality on you. With CRJ time, I beat out any number of others for my first job flying heavies. We had a lot of ace RJ pilots in my class at Atlas that apparently beat out a lot of folks flying larger aircraft. By the time Atlas decides to talk to you, they've decided if you are qualified or not, and from what I see everyday on line, there is no shortage of talent.

This is as friendly advice as I can give. Rid yourself of any sense of superiority. I had 2500 hours in heavies when I came to Atlas on top of 8000 more, with lots in RJs, and I was frequently hanging on for dear life throughout the training. It was the team that got us all through. That is why folks are talking about how well you work and play with others.

As far as not going to a job fair...your choice. I went to one, and I got a phone call on the Monday after the fair. Coincidence? I'll let you form your own opinion. Meanwhile, many of my compatriots who didn't go are still waiting. In this industry it's all about setting yourself apart. Just having jet time puts you in the same league as a LOT of other people. I should know. Atlas is my 4th airline, I've played the game.
