When you're really junior at the bottom, you will get used. As you get some more seniority, you might be able to get what you proffer for, but when you are stuck in the middle, you won't get what you proffer for, and you won't be junior enough to get called, so you won't fly as much. I'm stuck there now. JFK based, rarely get what I proffer for, and rarely get called... flew <5 hrs in August! Recommend getting a decent crash pad you don't mind sitting around in with stuff to do near by. If you live in base, life will be sweet haha.
