I understand they even tried to stiff their own employees just like their compadres in airline management in recent attempts by their subordinate workers to seek better compensation.

They are a BUSINESS no different than the airlines and act in THEIR best financial interest first. That's why Moak wants regionals to cower in the corner and operate as cheap as possible. That way they don't have to mount expensive fights for chumps they couldn't care less about.
