We can tell you aren't a math major, your math only works if EVERY sortie equaled 1 hr.
Here is an example:
Lets say a P-3 pilot had 100 sorties at 10hrs each for 1000 hrs, and an F-18 pilot had 1000 sorties at 1 hr each for 1000 hrs. Now, apply your math.

Everybody knows P-3 guys are worthless, and wouldn't get hired anyway...unless they snuck in the back door by throwing boxes
