Quite simply disagree. My reps (66) have been in the lounge (yes, weekends) since the 3 page document came out from the MEC (in JUNE!) explaining, not in general terms, but in explicit terms exactly which paragraph in the PWA was the issue and what could be gained from it. Potentially. I'd say that 3 months and the ability to see and speak with reps is as clear as this LOA could be.
From the MEC update
link
Delta agreed to commence negotiations to preserve long haul international Trans-Pacific flying in lieu of the current NRT slot requirement provisions.
If you have a Facebook account you can read the
66 update from last night. There's no mention of Skymark or dedicated codeshares and talks specifically about reducing 5th freedom codeshare out of Japan from existing limits. Skipping the MEMRAT discussion for now there's been a 3 month window open with exact language and exact block hours in which you had time to discuss this. The block hour graph looks pretty clear to me. NRT stable to neutral and PAC flying growing. I attended lounge dog and pony show and heard the same thing Scoop heard. The new 330s are for PACRIM flying which probably isn't good news for the ER guys.
