I think the smaller bases still have one if the old school feel. LA certainly does. I know most of the guys I fly with and like them all. In fact, it's not uncommon to see a bunch of the guys laying over at the same location. I never experienced that in the ATL.
ATL 320 is so small it's kind of like that. Most of each know each other and it's almost entirely a really good group except for a couple captains that are a bit difficult. Only one of those guys that is difficult have I ever had any issues with.
