Nothing's changed.

Since I started following the industry in high school (mid 1960's), United has always been known as the airline with the best network and a range between average and crap everywhere else.

Slow to adapt, slow to recognize competition in a now intensely competitive industry, poor customer-centric hiring over the last 20+ years with pilots being as delusional as anybody that thought otherwise.

This rep was the cause of a great deal of angst when the merger was announced in 2010.

However......I truly and sincerely hope it improves for all those with lengthy careers ahead. A rising tide floats everyone's boat.
