Also note information received and transmitted is usually in a standard order/format and using standard phraseology (It is not near as mind boggling as is currently seems to you) Also use the KISS principle (Don't start a conversation...) and readback required information. Actually, in flight, you should have been talking on the radio more at an "uncontrolled" field than you normally would at a towered field.
