Default continental pilot training center/iah

ok,,am i using the scale correctly,, a continental pilot with 21 yrs flying for the airline, based in houston, and working at the continental training center training other pilots would be eligible to bid on the highest paying line he could hold..so while in houston he would only be able to hold a fo on the 767,,if he were in newark he could captain the 767,,so now that he's in the training center,he bids on the captian 767,, even though he won't be flying it, and gets paid at that rate.? and all the while gets to stay in houston, work bankers hours.. 8-5ish, steady predictable work week and also gets an override pay of$$??..with the way the industry is going, if one were trying to maximize the money they are making at this current contract,etc.. this would be the best way for a pilot with 21 yrs,,right?? of did i miss something?? thanks for all those who knows the ins and outs..
