I got hired by Skywest with just barely over the minimums at the time, no 121 experience, and no internal recs. My entire new hire class of 12 were all CFIs with no turbine time. I doubt Skywest is turning down perfectly good applicants because they have no 121 time. There has to be something else they're seeing that they don't like.
When was this? If this was more than a year ago, it's irrelevant. Things change every 3 months it seems now.
