INDIGO AND REPUBLIC NEGOTIATE WITH WRONG PILOT UNION FOR FRONTIER SALE

“Frontier pilots are and will continue to be represented by the IBT and Local 357,” said Moffatt. “It is in all of our members’ best interest that Frontier pilots are legally and fairly represented in any agreement between the companies.”

There is NO ONE at Frontier that believes 357 or the IBT has the Frontier pilot's "best interest[s]" at heart. It's far past the time to drop the facade of 357, as a whole, wanting to do anything but kill Frontier off and put their pilots on the street.

I cannot imagine how this doesn't end up in a DFR suit.

In 2+ years, 357 has made NO progress with FOUR Articles of their CBA, except to hold two picketing events (which approximately SIXTEEN pilots showed up for), visit Capitol Hill and hold votes, first the strike vote, then the "Wayne Heller No Confidence Vote."

They have spent all their time and an enormous amount of resources filing frivolous lawsuits attempting to block any progress at Frontier, trying to fire pilots that are delinquent on dues (while they have ~300 "native RAH" pilots in the same boat) and doing nothing to support the Frontier pilots they claim to "represent."

For months now, I've been trying to figure out - Why does 357 and the IBT care SO much about keeping the Frontier pilots hostage?

Why do they want to throw money away by attacking a pilot group that has clearly shown they want nothing to do with the IBT?

What does 357 or the IBT have to gain that they care this much?

It took them over two years to finally get just two pilots from Frontier willing to join the IBT AND willing to sit on the System Board of Adjustment, and they ended up with rather questionable members of the pilot group after two years of trying.

I guess I have to thank 357 and the IBT in preparing me for the level of corruption, incompetence and total lack of awareness of their "constituents" needs and desires demonstrated by the US government in this shutdown...
The toonsters just want to destroy Frontier. Hopefully the resulting DFR lawsuits will bankrupt the local and put some RJ pukes on the street.
