With respect guys/gals, I'm not known as a spelling or grammar Nazi and I know how aggravating it can be when people sweat the small stuff but please proofread. We ALL make mistakes and I have no problem looking past some such as there vs. their, to vs. too or were vs. where; but some of these postings are downright embarrassing. It only takes a second, gives everyone a more professional opinion of you and assists us in fully understanding the questions you're asking. Otherwise trying to decipher your code makes it difficult to thoroughly answer your questions.

I think you make a very good point. If one does not use proper English in their everyday dialog, they're likely to forget how to use it when it is time to impress. The one that drives me up the wall is how often I see than used when the correct word for the application is then or vice versa. For those who do not know than is used for comparison and then is used for timing. I like green eggs better THAN green ham. I'm going get hired THEN live the good life.
Guys, I'm old and at the far end of the career tunnel so it doesn't matter for me, but everything matters when you are trying to make a good impression. Don't think your social media sites won't be looked at so do your best to cast yourselves in the best light there too. It's OK to have a sense of humor, but try to use the correct word and spelling unless you are being obvious about making a joke or a point. I cringe at too much of what I see on these forums and other places.
