Sooo.. where's that get me, do I have a shot? Would an internal rec. help with getting the 170 at all.. I'm guessing not, but who knows?
I probably should have clarified this as well:
There is
absolutely NO REASON as to why someone does or does not get the 170. When they called me originally, it was for a 170 class date. I was a CFI at the time, I had no prior 121, no jet time, nothing except 1500TT and 300ME. I didn't even have 500 hours of cross country time...which, after I explained that...led me to the 145 I'm happily flying today. Moral of the story: You get what you got because they needed you there, period.
