My guess is he is upset because he isn't getting first class for his coach fares. Just like the mileage plus guys who scowl at deadheading crews for taking the first class seats they want without paying for them.

The entire industry has changed as it is becoming more fee based than ever before. Personally I would prefer the glory days where travelers wore suits and behaved like human beings but those days are gone.
