If you want to look at his 2010 position it was 3704/4786=77.39%. Now if you look at that vs. the SLI he gained less than 1% BUT (and I'm talking J-Lo BUT) he lost all the relative seniority he gained over the last 3 years as if everyone who had retired or hired below him in that time never happened. That is why so many of us are upset.
Are you happy with what you got Todd?
I am not happy nor overly upset with where I ended up. Like it or not yes you do lose the last three years of upward movement in a merger. The date of merger is what is used in these arbitrations, not the day before the ISL.
I would have retired 14 at CAL now I'll retire 99. I could have held 737 captain at every base in our system and now I cannot, but this is not due to a relative seniority loss, it's because we at CAL had captain slots drop to very junior levels. Running the average major airline numbers, no one at 70+ percent would hold captain. I was 67% in 2010 now I am 66%. The guy one number junior to me was never furloughed and has been on the property 3 years longer than me. To say I was screwed would be a bit of a stretch.
