This is hardly a fair comparison to someone who went to Podunk community college and got a perfect 4.0 because classes there are super easy. In high school I had a 3.95 graduating GPA with a SAT score of 1350 (back when max was 1600) but I chose to attend a top notch engineering program and ended up barely 3.0 graduating.
Absolutely true. You'd think they would know this given that they have a very good engineering school right in their backyard. Like you I'm a heck of a lot prouder of my 3.1 from a top 25 university than I would be of a 3.99999 from just anywhere. Surely someone weights the GPA's?
