I use an electronic logbook (Logbook Pro) while in the field to record my time, then transfer it to a written log when I'm home. My written log is my primary log. I tried transferring all the old logbooks to the electronic one, but it was far too tedious and several data losses convinced me that it was a waste of time. I use paper.
