But sometimes it is not only abt the SJS, it's about planning your life. No one can stay on the EMB forever, we all will need to move on to the jet for better pay in year # 2 and beyond. That's why it is imp to know how long will it take to get SFO, is it something attainable after the 1 yr seat lock is up, or once my seat lock is up, I will have to make a choice of either commute to another base or take less pay & stay on the Emb.

People say that it better to avoid the commute as much as possible.

Oh BTW, are the jets in SFO really shiny......
