Going through first-year pay at a regional airline, for me at least, took a few years of preparation, savings and sacrifice while working a much higher-paying job. I have obligations and I'm a little too far removed from the point in my life where my parents will help with my bills. I managed to survive, but it was very difficult, and I'm not willing to start over at the bottom of a list at another regional airline when I'm less than a year away from finally getting what I really came here to get: Turbine PIC time.
It is sophomoric and a little stupid for anyone to take the position that I have no right to speak my opinion unless I've voted with my feet.
Rest assured, I will vote with my feet the second I'm able.
Now, to be clear, I'll say it again: A lot of people working at RJET can best be described as "miserable."
