Woman on flight from Florida becomes ill and is pronounced dead at Logan Airport - Metro - The Boston Globe

A woman in her 20s became ill and died while flying from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Boston on Monday, according to Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office.

The woman was a passenger on Spirit Airlines flight 610, which landed at Logan Airport around 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

According to Conley’s office, the woman became ill after the plane was airborne, slipped into unconsciousness, and was pronounced dead at Logan by first responders, including Boston Emergency Medical Services.

Jake Wark, a spokesman for Conley, identified the woman as a 24-year-old Quincy resident, adding that her name is not being released because her death is not considered suspicious.
