I loved hearing the attempted “spin” on the conference call when Wilder was trying to explain WHY this occurred. In the background you could hear Muffin whispering, “jumpstart”, but Wilder ignored him and pressed on with his own explanation.
I could have sworn that IBT’s biggest selling point on the difference between IBT and ALPA was, IBT is a “bottom up” union, while ALPA is a “top down” union.
National arranging meetings to set dates for meetings with a “Private Mediator” and negotiating on our behalf doesn’t seem like a “bottom up” type of philosophy as previously advertised.
Any truth to the rumor that National is completely fed up with the Local?
Troll troll troll. If National was really fed up with our local leadership they wouldn't have asked in the letter released on the company intranet for Republic to reinstate the Muffin without arbitration and with full back pay. Instead of being so negative perhaps a little optimism that the company is ready to deal is in order. Perhaps the staffing issues combined with attrition are finally bringing BB and WH to their knees. Perhaps mainline partners told BB no more flying until labor unrest is settled? Either way I believe in this pilot group not to fall for a Bendover Air or PSA style contract after 7 years of Republic getting a free ride. Show me a TA approved by our NC and if it's good I will vote yes. Everything else is a NO vote.
