Don't take this as me defending Endeavor but history has proven many times that no matter how diligent you are when you decide to work for a regional, you never know what's going to happen. There are many pilots that chose to go to a sub par regional (even though they all are sub par regardless of the small difference in pay). Many pilots went to Great Lakes and Colgan for a quick upgrade and moved on to the Majors. Bottom line is that poorer paying regional have a much higher attrition rate than others. Endeavor has been loosing 30-40 pilots per month since their concessionary contract began. Now, with the SSP and remaining flows they could see that number double. This in turn makes the seniority list fairly junior and reduces cost allowing them to undercut other regionals. It sucks if you are planning to stay at a regional for a long time but if you want to get your time and get out it probably isn't a bad bet. I think that it is safe to say that SkyWest is the better regional (paywise) to go to. But in talking with friends that fly for them, there doesn't seem to be as much movement because the "lifers" are content with their base, pay, QOL, and so on. It reminds me a lot of Mesaba under their JCBA contract. Pilots making 130,000/yr and so on. This equaled very very little movement, in fact pilots were turning down flows to the majors. Now many of those pilots who turned down the flow are interviewing under the SSP because a 25 year capatain at Endeavor can make the equivalent amount their 2nd year at Delta as an FO. With all that said, the current Fleet plan at Endeavor is 81 CRJ-900's. There will probably be at least 400 lifers left out of 2000 current pilots. Meaning no movement. If the 200's leaving is slowed or stopped then it might be a quick upgrade. Right now Compass has over half their list being flushed in the next couple years and they are having a hard time finding pilots ( other than 7 year FO's from Endeavor). I think the only way Endeavor will attract pilots is to revamp their fleet plan or have a unrestricted Flow.... just my two cents.
