They have to try/say/do something. The place has become very bad over the past 6+ months due to attrition. That's why they are downgrading CA to cover FO spots. That is why they are offering 150% pick ups and reserve days every week. This is all an experiment by DAL to see just how far they could break pilots and still get the job done. The only way to attract any relevant amount of new hires would be a bonus greater than eagles or republics. And that won't get very many, IMO. And will do nothing, but for very few on property, but move them up a few seniority numbers/save them from the dreaded FO reserve at capped out pay/possible re-upgrade for some who are being currently downgraded.
