As a pilot on the outside I am not thrilled by this. I have my degree and I have my application in with Delta. I also believe that many of the SSP folks also have a degree. While I understand they are given preferential treatment when it comes to getting the interview, in the end at least the playing field is level because they have to meet the same standards. What I do not agree with is the now the SSP folks get preferential treatment in getting the interview and now they also do not have to meet as high a standard as the rest of us.

Well, we are technically owned by Delta, and if the Delta pilots recapture scope somehow, we would be put on the list. We are simply interviewing to join another part of our company I suppose.
