I don't get why. I actually lived 5 minutes from an RJ base when I got hired and still commuted to the bro. When I finally transitioned to the RJ I had a line right away. I don't regret it at all and I loved flying the bro.
I think I have reverse SJS.. I would have stayed on the turboprop if I didn't live in an RJ base. The plane, the overnights and the crews were all a lot of fun.
