I love all the men claiming that being a woman gives you a competitive edge. I have yet to see that in my 6,000+ hr career. Maybe it gives the one an edge who does "extra curricular" activities. I don't know. All of the women I have kept in touch with in this industry have had times and competitive qualifications for every position they earned.
I've been flying for over 25 years and have witnessed women getting hired with MUCH lower experience than their male counterparts.
It's just a fact of life. There's no denying it.
