At UA and previously at CO we used 230 kias for flaps 1 and 2 and 225 for flaps 5. I'm sure we get some sort of MX inspection break for doing it this way.
Just a mild curiosity.
At Delta, we are permitted to use the placard speeds, but encouraged to slow well below those before actually lowering the flaps.
