Thanks for the answers, guys. It all comes down to the fact that Delta can ultimately hire who they want. I'm glad we didn't expend any effort to lower minimums. On the other hand, this agreement could be taken to an extreme: Regional airline Chatthoochiepoop pilots could agree to work for minimum wage (and thus drive down pilot compensation across the board) -- in exchange for preferential interviews.

Sets a bad precedent.
