If there is a redeeming quality, Delta gets full access to one's employee record, which is what now? A decade plus of part 121 flying, which must include captain time? To my mind, that person is no longer an unknown quantity proving themself in the matter of a one day interview. I imagine there will be more programs like this industry wide in short time, as well.
I really wish there was less animosity between pilot groups, and instead more reaching out between regionals and between mainline pilots with their connection pilots.
There is a big big difference between employee records that the company has and the temporary shredable files that many of the chief pilots at Mesaba had on guys that they didn't make record to the company.
